Hello I’m working through the 2nd edition book – excellent so far (much better than the rest) – but have hit a small snag. Page 135 says to refer to the companion website on here for a current list of search shortcuts and instructions (for tracking existing inbound links), but I can’t find it. Can you point me in the right direction please.

    Regards

    Richard

    Hi,

Thank you soo much for the work in making SEO easier to understand. I have recently started reading your 2nd edition and finding it very informative.

Are there significant differences between 2nd and 3rd editions?

    Regards

    Tayo

      hi Tayo,
So glad to hear the book has been helpful to you! There are quite a few differences between the 2nd and 3rd edition. The 3rd edition is fully updated with today’s SEO best practices. It has a great deal of additional info on social media and online word-of-mouth venues, including Facebook and Twitter. We have also expanded our discussions of Local and Shopping search, as well as video, image, and mobile. It was a ton of work and I’m REALLY proud of the 3rd edition! I hope you will have a chance to check it out.
      Best regards,
      Gradiva

    Hi Gradiva,

I originally purchased the 2nd edition of your book and started reading that, but now however I have purchased the 3rd edition to catch up on the additions. Are there any particular areas that have been heavily added to? More so than the others? I am trying to be efficient about what I reread.

    Thank you,
    Adam

      hi Adam,
Thanks for being a repeat purchaser! Although there are updates throughout the book, you’ll see the most in the “Right Now” of search (Chapter 4) and in the more advanced weekly assignments, Chapters 8 and 9, especially Social Media Marketing (p. 226), Selling through Search (p. 262), Local Search (p. 277), and Special opportunities (p. 300).
      Best,
      Gradiva
